IELTS for migration

Ielts for immigration

IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is mutually managed by the IDP Education, Australia, British Council, and Cambridge English Language Assessment. IELTS is the world’s most popular English language test for work, study, and migration. In this test, four comprehensive skills of English Communication are assessed: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. This is a task-based test of these four skills and is assessed (0-9 band score) based on the language skill level. Delivered on either a computer or paper, IELTS is the only high-stakes language test recognised for migration across Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Test scores are widely accepted by public and private institutions around the world as proof of the English proficiency of applicants who wish to immigrate or study abroad.

There are two IELTS tests available: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. The IELTS Academic is needed if you are planning to enter an English-speaking educational institution. However, IELTS General Training is often required by the embassies if you are planning to migrate to an English Speaking Country.
